Kit Components & Technical Features
- Precision Punching & Placement Tools
- Ainsworth Rubber Dam Punch (17cm): The classic “click-stop” punch with a rotating disc containing five different hole sizes. Engineered to produce clean, tear-resistant holes for any tooth from lower incisors to large molars.
- Ivory Rubber Dam Punch (17cm): A lightweight, high-leverage punch designed for ergonomic ease and consistent perforation accuracy.
- Brewer Clamp Holding Forcep (17.5cm): Features a specialized beak and sliding lock mechanism to securely hold and expand clamps. Its length provides excellent reach and visibility during placement in the posterior regions.
- Anatomical Clamp Selection (11-Piece Set)
Our clamps are heat-treated for “memory” retention, ensuring they maintain high tension through repeated use. The set includes:
- Fig. 00 & 0: For small teeth, lower incisors, and pediatric applications.
- Fig. 1: General-purpose premolar clamp.
- Fig. 2A: Enlarged wings for secure premolar isolation.
- Fig. 3: For small lower molars.
- Fig. 7: Flat-jawed clamp for large mandibular molars.
- Fig. 8: For maxillary molars.
- Fig. 8A: Deeply serrated/subgingival jaws for partially erupted or broken-down molars.
- Fig. 9: The “Butterfly” clamp, essential for anterior labial cavities (Class V).
- Fig. 212: The classic cervical retraction clamp for complex gingival-level restorations.
- Fig. 14: For oversized or partially erupted molars.
- Support Frames
- Rubber Dam Metal Frame (Adult): Provides high-tension retraction for maximum field exposure.
- Rubber Dam Metal Frame (Kids): Sized specifically for smaller dental arches to ensure patient comfort.
Clinical Advantages
- Superior Moisture Control: Prevents saliva and sulcular fluid contamination, which is vital for the success of adhesive dentistry and root canal treatments.
- Patient Safety: Acts as a protective barrier, preventing the accidental aspiration of instruments, chemicals (like sodium hypochlorite), or debris.
- Enhanced Visibility: The contrast provided by the dam material, held by our non-glare metal frames, allows the clinician to focus exclusively on the operative site.
- Ergonomic Efficiency: The high-leverage Ainsworth punch and Brewer forceps reduce hand strain, making isolation a fast, routine part of the workflow.
